2nd Modern Economy Sale

It's on again! The 2nd Annual Modern Economy Home & Lifestyle Sample Sale. Wednesday August 9th from 9:00am the virtual store opens, that's east coast USA time. Last year I got some lovely table linen from Simrin. This year I think I'll just have to admire from afar. Here are some of my favourites, clockwise from top left: Sara Paloma Pottery, Deadly Squire potholders, OM Home cushion (go and check out the cushion tree on their website) and Petit Collage.

A Reason for my Silence

All has been quite on the blog front lately. This is the reason - a brand new iMac. I know there was method to my madness but I can't remember what that was! Not that I'm complaining - it's so cool, but it's a great leap for me who has been so used to the Microsoft way of doing things for the last 14 years. I have Windows 7 running on my iMac so I really do have the best of both worlds. I'm still not 100% on how to get some tasks done but I'm getting there.

Tree of Life

I really like this wall decal from the Wall Sticker Company. My darling husband is not so sure but I think it would be wonderful focal point from our kitchen through to our dining room. I just wonder if I would get sick of it really quickly. I'm not really a blue person... or gold for that matter so I would have to come up with a different colour combination. What to do?

iPhone Babycinos

On Thursday mornings the little one and I go to Belconnen markets. This has been a long standing tradition and one that I cherish. With shopping out of the way we have morning tea at the organic cafe. For some reason we started taking photos of his babycinos and each week we judge whether or not the latest is photo worthy. Then we browse through all the previous pictures. This morning I decided to turn all of them into one picture. I'm sure our barista, who sports a different hair colour each week, tries to outdo herself for him.
